CBM: Condition Based Maintenance
Should you be using this maintenance tactic? If so, are you using the right techniques? How do you know if you are getting a return on your investment? Has your condition monitoring initiative run out of steam? Or, if you are using an external supplier of CBM services to carry out the work, do you know how to evaluate them/work with them to ensure that you are getting value for money?
All these are real questions for Maintenance and Engineering professionals tasked with having efficient and effective Asset Care programs. Measuring the condition of your equipment, and then making an assessment as to whether or not it will fail in the future allows us to take the appropriate action to avoid the consequences of that failure. This is "Predictive Maintenance" or ”Condition Based Maintenance - CBM”.
What is CBM and why does it work? Should I apply it to all my equipment? How do you get the right balance between condition monitoring, preventive and maintain on failure maintenance? How do you ensure that the return from an investment in condition monitoring is maximised? What Value is my external provider of CBM services adding?
Our solutions workshop is designed to answer these questions. It covers the latest tools, techniques and practices and how best to apply them for maximum impact on the bottom line. It isn’t being claimed that you will be a qualified CBM expert after this but you will be able to make decisions on CBM based on real information.
