In today’s competitive market, companies are under increasing pressure to produce higher quality goods and services at lower production costs. A key component of the overall cost of manufacturing is maintenance and the key role of maintenance is to guarantee the reliability of the production plant. The crucial element for ensuring that maintenance is cost effectively delivered is the planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks. This course provides a methodology for: pre- planning routine maintenance tasks generated by predictive and preventive maintenance programs, planning tasks to recover from malfunction or breakdown and a strategy to allow us to cope with random failure.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The target audience is for any maintenance practitioner who has responsibility for planning and scheduling maintenance tasks. This includes maintenance planners and more usually the supervisors, team leaders and coordinators who find this area of responsibility as part of their overall roll.

TRAINER PROFILE

Tom Lenahan is an accomplished expert in maintenance and asset management and has taught, audited and consulted with many companies around the world. His special field is in planning at all levels from high level strategic planning to the very detailed planning required for the day-to-day running of a maintenance system. Tom also teaches Maintenance Systems and Shutdown Planning and Management at MSc level at the University of Manchester in the UK.
Tom has trained, consulted and worked with clients in the UK, USA, Holland, Belgium, South Africa, Russia, India, Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Argentina, Singapore and Australia.
