Planning and Executing Your Plant’s Shutdown / Overhaul / Startup Program

It is a widely known fact that Effective Turnaround Management or Shutdown Planning pays huge dividends in the Petrochemical Industry in delivering superior plant performance and reliability while controlling maintenance / overhaul costs, but it can also save vast amounts of money in other manufacturing and process industries, such as Food, Pharmaceutical, Cement, Power, Pulp & Paper, and Metal where plant shutdowns (for maintenance or upgrade purposes) are expensive and complex. Successful Turnarounds are not merely technical events carried out by the maintenance function but are an integral part of the company’s business strategy and as such can have a greater impact on business than it is often understood.
