PAS 55: The International benchmark for Optimal Management of Assets
PAS 55 is the British Standards Institution's "Publicly Available Specification" for the optimised management of physical assets and infrastructure - it provides clear definitions and a 28-point requirements specification for optimised and whole-life asset management systems.
BSI PAS 55:2008 is already a requirement by the Regulator for the Water and Gas sectors in the UK and is now being adopted by companies here in Ireland. It is the international reference standard, providing a clear and concise definition of what needs to be done to tune physical assets for business objectives at any point in their lifecycle.
PAS 55 covers every organisation – whether public or private – in any sector. It is already in use within public services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, water, utilities.
