Summer experiences: Here at Head Office, we had a student work with us this Summer – suffice to say it was a new experience for us all !
Her name is Alice Foley and here’s what she had to say about her time with us.
As my time here at ESS is coming to an end, I can’t believe how fast the time flew! It was an experience I won’t forget. I would firstly like to thank everyone who I worked with for the last few months! During my stay here, I got a feel for so many different aspects of the company. These include site visits, courses and lots of admin!! This might not attract many young girls but I honestly enjoyed myself and made good use of my time off college!
Working at ESS has opened my mind to the complexity of maintenance engineering and business. Before I came here I didn’t have a clue about how certain factories work or even comprehend that Ireland has so many big and successful factories. After visiting some of ESS customers I can now appreciate more, the time and effort in the process of how my food and medicine reaches me! These little things that I picked up on would go over your head so easily as a young person! My time here has opened my mind to the importance of maintenance professionals and how much of an impact they have in all factories and businesses.
On the business and commerce side of ESS, I learnt a lot of new things. I have realised the importance of relationships and business development. It is clear from the last few month how much effort ESS put into sustaining and building on their relationships, business development and performance. Ray, Colin and all the team really care about their employees and clients, this hasn’t gone unnoticed and it is clear to me how imperative this style of management is in today’s world. The team at ESS go above and beyond for everyone they work with and it is such a nice environment to be a part of.
I am so grateful to have been given such a fantastic opportunity to work with ESS and I thank everyone I met and worked with.
